How to upload a video to Panopto

Instructions

• Click the “create” button on the upper left side of the window

• From the menu that appears, choose “Upload Media”

• You will see a pop-up window. In the search field, enter the correct module code and select the relevant folder, marked [assignments]
• You must upload to the correct folder so that the assessor can access the files. If you make a mistake, you can move your Panopto video

• To upload your file, you can either drag and drop into the central box, or click on it to open your file browser.

• Choose the correct file and click “upload”.

• While the file is uploading, you can rename it in the field at the bottom of the pop-up window.
• Uploads should be titled with the module code, your student ID, and the title of your submission.

• Once you see the green tick, the upload is complete, and you can close the window.

• To find your upload, click on the “browse” button.
• Search for the folder to which you uploaded your video.

• You will see your video. You can watch it back once it has finished processing.
• You can click on the share button, and from there copy the URL or embed code, before it has finished processing, but you should be sure to go back and check that it displays correctly.

• Click on the title of the video to view it.
