Microsoft Account Cutover 2025 – Additional Steps
If you removed your account following the
Microsoft cutover in September 2025, you may need to clear your history and
website data from Safari before following these steps. If not, you can skip to “Adding your conservatoire account”.
- Open the Settings app and choose “apps” at the bottom of the menu on the left
- Find Safari in the list and select it
- In the Safari settings, scroll through to “history and website data” and choose “clear history and website data”
- In the clear history window, choose “all history” from the clear timeframe options
- Then press the “clear history” button
Adding your conservatoire account
- Open the Settings app, and choose “apps” at the bottom of the menu on the left
- Find the Mail app in the list and select it
- Once on the Mail settings, select “mail accounts”
- Alternatively search for “mail” in the settings search box and choose “mail accounts” from the list.
- On the next screen choose “Microsoft Exchange” from the “add account” list
- In the Exchange window enter your full conservatoire email, for example: 01234567@leedsconservatoire.ac.uk
- You can also change the account description, it will otherwise default to “exchange”
- Once you’ve done this, press “next”
- In the “sign in to your exchange account” window, choose “sign in”
- In the “use microsoftonline.com…” window, press “continue”
- In the next window, enter your conservatoire account password, and press “sign in”
- You will then need confirm you are signing into “leedsconservatoire.ac.uk”, to do this press “continue”
- You will be returned to the settings page, here you can select which areas of your student email you wish to sync to your device.
- Once you have decided, press “next” and your conservatoire email account will be added to the Apple Mail app, calendar to your calendar app if you chose it etc.

Adding your conservatoire account
- Open the Mail app, choose “Mail” in the top-left and select “accounts” from the drop-down list
- Alternatively, in System Preferences search for “Internet Accounts” and select it from the results list
- In the internet accounts settings, select “add account”
- In the account providers list, choose “Microsoft Exchange”
- In the Microsoft Exchange window, enter your full conservatoire email address, e.g. 01234567@leedsconservatoire.ac.uk
- You do not need to adjust your name
- On the next screen, choose “sign in”
- If you are prompted, ensure you choose “work or school account created by your IT department”
- On the next page, enter your conservatoire account password and press “sign in”
- You will be returned to the settings page, here you can select which areas of your student email you wish to sync to your device.
- Once you have decided, press “done” and your conservatoire email account will be added to the Apple Mail client, calendar to your calendar app if you selected it etc.
