Microsoft 365 Cutover – September 2025

If you use Outlook to check your student email on a mobile device, you will need to remove your account and re-add it from Monday 29th September 2025. You will need to do this if you use the Outlook App, or access your conservatoire email through a mail client like Apple Mail.

This also applies to all the other apps in the Microsoft 365 suite, like Teams, OneDrive, Word, and more. The process of removing and re-adding your account is similar across all the apps.

Instructions

Outlook Mobile App

  1.  Access the settings menu by clicking the “cog” icon, on a phone you may have to click your profile icon first.





  2. In the settings menu, choose “accounts” under “general”.



  3. Select your Leeds Conservatoire account from the list.



  4. Scroll to the bottom of the account's settings and choose “remove account”.



  5. Success, your account has been removed!

Apple Mail

  1. Go to your “Settings” app, choose “Apps” in from the menu, and then choose the “Mail” app.



  2. Select “Mail Accounts” to locate the list of your accounts.



  3. Choose your Leeds Conservatoire account from the list. It might be labelled “Exchange” or something else if you added your own label when you originally added it.



  4. In the account's settings, select “delete account”.



  5. Confirm that you want to delete your account in the pop-up window.



  6. Success, your student email account has been removed!

Android Devices

The process could be different depending on what type of device you have, check the manufacturer's guidance. The process generally will be as follows: 
  1. Go to “Settings”, then tap “Accounts and backup”.
  2. Tap “Accounts”, then select your Leeds Conservatoire email account.
  3. Tap “Remove account”, then tap “Remove account” again to confirm.

Re-adding Your Account Back To Your Device

When you re-add your account, you will need to use your full conservatoire email address. For example: 01234567@leedsconservatoire.ac.uk

If you can’t access your email or Microsoft account via the apps, try accessing Office via your web browser by following these steps: 
  1. Open a web browser and access office.com
  2. Remove any saved username and password you previously used to log in to your Microsoft account
  3. Sign in by entering your full email address, e.g. 01234567@leedsconservatoire.ac.uk, and your usual conservatoire password.
