How to install Microsoft 365 Apps

Instructions

Via office.com in your web browser

  • Go to office.com and sign in to your Leeds Conservatoire account
  • See the “how to access Microsoft 365” article for full instructions

  • Once signed in, go to the “apps” tab in the menu on the left-hand side

  • If prompted to take a tour of the apps, you can either skip or work though it

  • On the apps page, go to “install apps” drop-down in the top right
  • Choose one of the options in the menu, depending on what kind of device you’re using
  • If you are on a desktop device, Mac OS or Windows, choose “Microsoft 365 apps”
  • If you are on a mobile device, iOS or Android, choose “Microsoft 365 Copilot mobile app”. Next steps for this option are below.

  • If you are on desktop, on the next screen choose the “install office” button and download the installer
  • Once download, open the app installer and run in on your device

Via the Microsoft 365 Copilot app


  • Once installed, open the Microsoft 365 Copilot app and press “sign in”

  • Enter your full Leeds Conservatoire email address and press next
  • For example: 01234567@leedsconservatoire.ac.uk

  • On the next screen, enter your conservatoire account password and pressed “sign in”

  • Once signed in, you will be prompted to enable notifications; this is your preference

  • Once you’ve chosen your notification preference, go to the settings cog in the menu

  • In the settings menu, choose “Microsoft apps”

  • From the Microsoft Apps menu, you can press “get” to install any apps not installed on your device

  • We’d recommend installing at least the following:
    • Outlook
    • OneDrive
    • Word
    • Excel
    • PowerPoint
    • OneNote
    • Teams
