Converting and Sizing a .png file (macOS)

Instructions

Converting to PNG

In order to convert another file format (in this example we have a .HEIF file) to a .png;

In Finder, right-click or control-click the file and choose “open with Preview”

In Preview, go to “File” in the top bar, and choose “Export”

Select your desired file format (“PNG”) and click “Save”

Sizing your PNG

Open the PNG in preview as detailed above. In the top bar, choose “Tools” and then “Adjust Size”

In the menu that pops up, you can select the width and height for your image. Make sure you have “Scale proportionally” and “Resample image” checked, in order prevent distortion or resolution loss. When you are happy with your settings, click “OK”
