Instructions
Adding Paragraph Text
On Show, the default ‘block type’ is a text block, known as a “Paragraph” block. To add your own text, click on “Type / to choose a block” and begin typing or pasting in your text.
Adding Headings
To add a heading, click on “Type / to choose a block” and type /heading.
Alternatively, you can select either of the plus icons (“Add block” located on the right-hand side of the default block, or “Block Inserter” located in the top left corner of the interface) and search for “Heading”.
Now that your heading block is in place, you can begin editing this. To choose a heading size, click the “Heading level” setting, displayed by default as “H2”, and select your preferred setting.
Calculating Your Word Count
In the top left, click on the “document overview” icon; it looks like three lines stepped on top of one another.
One open, click on the “outline” tab
At the top of the outline tab, you will see the total word count for your Show post.
Ensure you deduct parts, your bibliography for example, which don't count towards your assignment length. See the Assignment Guidelines for more information.
