Instructions
Accessing Life
You can access Life through these methods:
- Visit life.leedsconservatoire.ac.uk
- Visit Space, expand the Systems menu on the top navigation bar, then choose Life
- Visit systems.leedsconservatoire.ac.uk and choose Life
In the top bar of Life, hover over the “Events” tab and click on “gigs”
On the Gigs page, click “Click here to post your own gig”
You will be taken to the editor
Title: Give your event a descriptive title
Start Time: This is a mandatory field
End Time: If you leave this blank, no end time will display
Event Cost: This is a free text field. You can, for example, enter “Free” or “PAYF” rather than naming a price.
Ticket booking website or contact email: If you enter a URL here, it will display as a “Ticket” button on your post.
Featured image: This is the image that will appear as the thumbnail for your post.
Click on “Add image”
You can either drag and drop your chosen files from your file browser, or click “Select Files”
If you click “Select Files”, your file browser will be displayed.
Navigate to and select your desired file and click the “upload” button on the bottom right.
Add any desired alt text or captions and then click “select”
Description: Enter any details or promotional copy
You can add additional images by clicking "Add Media" and following the same steps outlined for the "Featured Image" function.
Location: This features a search function. The location of your event will display on a map.
Once you are happy, click "publish"
