Instructions

Adding Columns

1. Open or create your post.

2. Select the "Block Inserter" icon in the top left corner to add a block.

3. In the block drawer, scroll down to "Design" and select "Columns".

This lets you arrange vertical columns of blocks side-by-side.

For example, you can have three equal columns, one containing text, one containing an image and one containing an embedded video.

Groups

Select multiple elements on your page. This can be done by either; dragging over the content to highlight it, clicking the first and last of the blocks you want to group whilst holding shift, or selecting the blocks in List view (https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/use-list-view/).

2. A small menu will appear. Click on the “Group” icon (displayed as two overlapping squares) to transform into a group.

3. Now, when you use the up and down arrows, you can move all these objects together while maintaining their relative positions.

Cover

1. Select the "Block Inserter" icon in the top left corner to add a block.

2. In the block drawer, scroll down to the "Media" section and select the "Cover" block.

3. Choose an image from your media library or upload one using the file browser.

4. The image will display with a "Write title" prompt - enter your text to complete your design.
